In light of the current public health concerns the Shear Shakti team wanted to say some things to all of our clients:
We have prided ourselves in keeping a safe and sanitary place to come to and we’ll be taking additional steps to ensure we stay that way. The safety and health of you all and our entire staff is our top priority. Particularly right now we want to make sure that we are doing our part to promote public health and publicly talk about some of the steps we are taking to flatten the curve.
First and foremost, for the security and health of our staff and clients, please stay home if you are feeling unwell. This includes the symptoms associated with COVID-19:
Shortness of breath and pain/pressure in chest
Bluish lips or face
Also if you are feeling under the weather for any other reason. Being out with a lowered immune system makes you more likely to catch the virus, potentially spreading it through contact before showing any symptoms of COVID-19. Please be careful. Show restraint, consideration, and reason when choosing to leave home. We want you to all stay healthy and awesome. Social distancing is one of the first lines of defense.
If you are coming into the salon, we have made some expansions to our usual cleaning regiment and will be maintaining them for the foreseeable future. We always take extra care with wiping down commonly touched surfaces in the salon throughout the day: door handles, arm rests, faucets, light switches, you name it. We have a strict and robust cleaning regiment- daily, weekly, and coincidentally every spring break we do a 2-3 day shut down to detail everything. For the next few months we will be upping the frequency of the cleaning regiments already in place. The salon will also switch from our current system for serving drinks to single use cups to ensure 0% chance of exchange between clients.
Because of the ‘Public Health First’ stance we believe that everyone should be following, we might be calling you to reschedule upcoming appointments. Our management feels it’s only fair to allow each stylist to choose if they feel comfortable in the salon setting with the current public health concerns. This policy is due to our line of work’s very hands-on and physical contact-heavy nature. So we feel it’s only fair to let our staff protect themselves and their clients as their conscience feels best.
We love you guys and we want everyone to be healthy and feel comfortable. We want to keep serving you and making you look and feel your best.
